Tonight's topic was about Author Brand.
Author brand is the basically the author, and the pen name they choose to use.
One important point was that consistency is key. It's important to make sure that the author's pen name (no matter what it is) is always consistent. Inconsistency can lead to have books written by the author but not connected to other books the author writes.
Another important part of the brand is the image, and it's not just about reputation, but it could be a graphic image or a picture of the author, that stands for the brand.
Creating that pen name also requires care and a lot of thinking, since this will be what is on your cover and under your title for whatever you write.
